AMONG THE TEAM: THE STATE ARCHIVE OF MINSK REGION CELEBRATED ITS 88TH BIRTHDAY

On July 2, a celebratory event was held at the State Archive of Minsk Region. The event coincided with a significant date – the institution’s birthday, officially celebrated on July 5.

It was on this day in 1938 that the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic adopted a resolution that marked the beginning of the institution’s history. Over decades of work, a solid documentary foundation has been built, transforming the institution into a key custodian of the central region’s memory. The tradition of annually celebrating this celebratory date in early July is not simply a tribute to the past but also a wonderful way to take stock, outline plans, and thank the team for their daily hard work.

During the celebratory event, the staff expressed their gratitude and encouragement for their continued diligence. The institution’s management emphasized that the conscientious work and high professional results of each employee will always be duly appreciated.

A highlight of the meeting was the creative program prepared by Svetlana Aleksandrovna Lomova, an employee of the Automated Archival Technologies and Information Retrieval Systems Department. The video featured original quatrains about all departments and their employees. The creative portion was complemented by a humorous video with musical accompaniment, which brought many smiles and put the staff in a wonderfully festive mood.

The highlight of the celebration was the awards ceremony. To the applause of the staff, well-deserved certificates of appreciation were presented to the following employees for their conscientious work, professionalism, and exemplary performance of their duties:

Maria Andreevna Leonovich, Lead Archivist in the Document and Collection Preservation Department;

Olga Nikolaevna Makhnach, Archivist in the Document and Collection Preservation Department;

Elena Gennadyevna Kireeva, Archivist, Document and Collection Preservation Department;

Marina Georgievna Denisenko, Archivist, Department of Records Management and Formation of the National Archival Collection;

Valeria Valerievna Kucherova, Archivist, Department of Automated Archival Technologies and Information Retrieval Systems.

The festive event gave the archivists a boost of positive emotions and a great mood.
