Student Internship at the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI)

On June 29, 2026, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) hosted second-year students from the history and philology departments of the Belarusian State University. The meeting was held as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign and was part of the museum, archival, and record-keeping internship program for future specialists.

BSAMLI Director E.A.Makarenko delivered a welcoming speech, introducing the students to the archives and museum’s main activities and specific features.

V.V.Birulya, Head of the Information, Publication, and Document Use Department, led a specialized tour for the young people. The students learned about the history of the archives and museum building and learned about the specifics of document promotion efforts. Of particular interest were the unique collections containing documents of prominent figures in Belarusian literature and art.

The national «Archives for School» campaign remains one of the BSAMLI’s priorities. Such meetings help young people gain valuable practical experience, increase interest in the historical and cultural heritage of Belarus, and contribute to the development of professional skills among future researchers.
