Archivists’ Festive Route: Ahead of the Minsk Region State Archives’ Birthday, the institution’s staff visited the Sula History Park

On the eve of an important anniversary — the birthday of the Minsk Region State Archives, celebrated on July 5 — the institution’s primary trade union organization, led by Chairperson Tatyana Olegovna Sachek, presented the staff with a creative gift. A fascinating excursion to the «Grand Duchy of Sula» History Park was organized for the staff.

In 2026, the Minsk Region State Archives will celebrate its 88th anniversary. The official anniversary date dates back to July 5, 1938, when, following the creation of the regions, Resolution No.38 of the Presidium of the Central Executive Committee of the BSSR established the Minsk Regional Archives.

The celebratory tour allowed the staff to temporarily escape their daily work routine and immerse themselves in our country’s past. Sula is the first interactive history park in Belarus, where the chronology of the development of Belarusian lands is presented not on paper, but through large-scale interactive locations and reconstructions.

The trip, initiated by the trade union committee of the Minsk Region State Archives, had an important goal: to unite the workforce, support young professionals, and strengthen the institution’s corporate culture.
