About conducting an excursion in the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region as part of the «Archives – School» campaign

On June 29, 2026, the students of secondary school No.28 of Vitebsk, staying in the educational and recreational camp, were introduced to the State Archives of the Vitebsk region.

Taking into account the age, the younger students received answers to the questions: «What is an archive and how does it differ from a library?», «What is an archival document and why should it be preserved?» and a number of others. Viewed the exhibition «Archive Service of the Vitebsk Region». «Restoration», document collections, one of the films prepared by the BHAKFFD, took a walk through the archive in order to get acquainted with the work of archivists and learn how documents are stored in the archive.

The event was held as part of the republican action «Archives – School».
