Tour of the Rechitsa State Archives for Students of Secondary School No.11 in Rechitsa

On June 23, 2026, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, staff of the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa met with students from Secondary School No.11 in Rechitsa, who were attending the «Young Patriot» work and recreation camp. The students enjoyed a fascinating tour of the archives, during which they learned about the archive’s history and achievements, viewed the most interesting archival documents, and learned about the work of archivists from the inside. The students also viewed a collection of archival documents and a permanent exhibition of documents prepared by ZGARech for the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident. The meeting concluded with a screening of the Brest State Archives documentary «Hero Fortress», which depicts the battles at the Brest Fortress at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War and the courage and heroism of its defenders.
