On the BGANTD staff meeting, timed to coincide with National Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People
On June 22, Belarus celebrates National Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People. This day commemorates those who sacrificed their lives to defend their homeland and all those who perished at the hands of the Nazis and died of hunger and deprivation.
The staff of the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation joined the nationwide moment of silence to honor the memory of all those who perished in those brutal years.
In his speech, Acting Director of the Archive Grigory Stepanovich Zholnerkevich noted that the Belarusian people paid a very high price for peace, making it crucial to preserve peace in our native land and pass on the memory of those events to future generations.
