On the Participation of a Staff Member of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Victory Will Be Ours»

A plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Victory Will Be Ours» was held at two offline venues, the Belarusian State University of Food and Chemical Technologies and the Voronezh State University of Engineering Technologies. The conference, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War and the heroic defense of Mogilev in July 1941, was held.

Historians from Bryansk, Kursk, Minsk, and Moscow participated in the conference online.

A leading archivist from the Department of Scientific Use of Documents and Information at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region presented a paper on «Deputies of the Mogilev Region and the Great Patriotic War».

During the engaging dialogue, issues of source studies and historiography of the Great Patriotic War, the strategic significance of the heroic defense of Mogilev in July 1941, and preserving the memory of the Soviet people’s heroism during the war were discussed.
