Participation of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI) in Continuing Education Courses

On May 27, 2026, E.A.Makarenko, Director of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI), participated in and delivered a lecture on «Organization of State Registration of Archival Documents in the Republic of Belarus» for students attending the Continuing Education Course for employees of state archival institutions at the Institute for Retraining and Continuing Education of Belarusian State University.

The course covered the regulatory and methodological foundations for organizing the state registration of archival documents in the Republic of Belarus. Particular attention was paid to amendments and additions to the organization of archival document registration in accordance with the adopted Rules for the Operation of State Archives, approved by Resolution No.119 of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus dated August 31, 2022. The lecturer also shared her experience in organizing the reception and registration of personal documents at BSAMLI.

The most attention and discussion focused on the organization’s accounting for copies of documents as originals and the proper processing of accounting records in the event of missing or lost files and documents in an organization’s archive.
