«I’ll serve as I should and then return!» – the Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities welcomes a young specialist who has completed his military service

On May 18, 2026, the Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities held an Information Day dedicated to covering the latest news in the country’s archival industry.

Dmitry Shabrov, Director of the Center, delivered a presentation on the topic.

The most significant events in the country’s archival industry over the past week were:

– the launch of the youth forum «No Statute of Limitations: Unconquered» in Gomel, with partners including the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and the State Archive of the Gomel Region;

– the opening of the exhibition «State and Official Heraldic Symbols» at the National Library, timed to coincide with the Day of State Symbols of the Republic of Belarus;

– and the 3rd PRO.EDO–2026 Forum «Development of Electronic Document Management in the Republic of Belarus», held at the President Hotel, where prospects for and solutions for electronic document management and a unified state system for storing electronic documents were discussed.

But the final and most important item on the agenda was the meeting with S.I. Strelchenya, a young specialist from the Belarusian Center for Digitalization of Archival Activities, who returned to his native enterprise after completing his military service. Stanislav honorably fulfilled his military duty to his country, serving in an internal troops unit located in Bobruisk. He returned to the team matured and strengthened. During his year of service, he earned the respect of both his fellow soldiers and commanders. His service was recognized with three Certificates – for impeccable service, initiative, mastery of several military specialties, and participation in real operational work to maintain law and order. The unit’s command sent a letter of gratitude to Stanislav’s parents for raising a worthy defender of the Fatherland. Shortly before his demobilization, Stanislav was awarded the «For Selfless Service» Badge, 2nd Class, by order of the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus.

The Center’s Director, D.V.Shabrov, on behalf of the team and himself, congratulated Stanislav on his meritorious performance of his military duty and his return to the enterprise where he began his career after graduating from higher education. He presented Stanislav with a congratulatory address and expressed confidence that Stanislav would be able to demonstrate his best qualities in civilian life.
