Young Archivists of Zhlobin: Immersion in the Profession and a Chronicle of Memory
On May 13, 2026, the Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin hosted an interactive lesson for students from Secondary School No.9 in Zhlobin, participants in the «Young Archivist» pilot project. The event was organized in the form of an educational quest. The goal of the event was to thoroughly familiarize the younger generation with archival work and promote the archivist profession.
Archivist Irina Eliseeva carefully designed each stage of the game to engage the students and clearly demonstrate the institution’s internal processes.
Following the intellectual competition, Archive Director Galina Dudareva presented certificates of appreciation to the participants of the «Young Archivist» pilot project, noting their deep interest in archival services.
The meeting concluded with a presentation of a joint creative project. Young archivists Maria Razdymakho and Arina Rubanova, together with State Archives software engineer Margarita Feller, prepared and presented a video, «Chronicle of Time», created using artificial intelligence. The video is dedicated to an iconic local resident, P.A. Karibsky, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War and labor, a participant in the legendary 1945 Victory Parade on Red Square, and an Honorary Citizen of Zhlobin.
Archive staff expressed confidence in the continuation of this fruitful collaboration between the archival institution and the school, wishing the students continued success in their study of Russian history.
