A screening of the documentary film «Hero Fortress» by staff of the State Archives of the Grodno Region at Secondary School No.33 named after G.I.Obelevsky in Grodno

On May 13, 2026, staff of the State Archives of the Grodno Region organized a screening of the documentary film «Hero Fortress» for students of Secondary School No.33 named after G.I.Obelevsky in Grodno. The film was prepared for the 85th anniversary of the defense of the Brest Fortress by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

Before the screening, Irina Slinko, Head of the Department for the Registration and Preservation of Documents and Collections at the State Archives of the Grodno Region, spoke to students about the history of the defense of the Brest Fortress and the heroism of the Soviet soldiers who bore the brunt of the Nazi invaders.
