A joint project of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive as part of the national campaign «Women Who Created an Era»

The Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive, together with the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, has prepared for the first time a unique project, «Women Who Created an Era». Ten video stories, based on archival footage, were created dedicated to women awarded the title «Hero of Socialist Labor»: Antonina Vladimirovna Shatukhina, Nina Fedorovna Bakunets, Zinaida Dmitrievna Goryachko, Valentina Nikolaevna Gulidova, Lyubov Petrovna Kozlovskaya, Tatyana Grigoryevna Orda, Nina Tarasovna Petrenko, Varvara Mikhailovna Solomako, and Zinaida Petrovna Yaroshevich. On the eve of May 1st, members of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus visited seven of them to thank them for their work and present them with valuable gifts.

Videos from this project can be viewed on the BGAKFFD YouTube channel at this link.

In the process of creating the presentation video, the BGAKFFD conducted extensive research, selecting film and photographic materials to edit into nine video stories about women awarded the title «Hero of Socialist Labor». These women have achieved high results in a wide range of fields – manufacturing, construction, agriculture, light industry, science, and culture.

In the Year of the Belarusian Woman, the archive chronicle vividly testifies to the selfless labor of our compatriots for the good of their country, their successes, and outstanding achievements.
