The State Archives in Glubokoye held a themed lounge, «95 Years TOGETHER!»

The State Archives in Glubokoye celebrated the 95th anniversary of the Belarusian Trade Union of Public and Other Institutional Employees.

The «95 Years TOGETHER!» themed lounge brought together those who have long championed the interests of workers: chairpersons of primary trade union organizations, activists, and veterans of the trade union movement. Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, opened the event.

During the meeting, archive staff introduced attendees to the history of the formation of the Republican Committee, the Vitebsk Regional and Glubokoye District organizations of the Belarusian Trade Union of Public Institutional Employees, and the history of Labor Day.

The guests were particularly impressed by the exhibition of archival documents, «Belarusian Women – Bright Destinies», prepared by archive staff as part of the Year of the Belarusian Woman. Svetlana Ignatovich, chair of the district trade union organization, summed up the festive event. The primary trade union organization chairpersons, veteran trade unionists, and representatives of the archive’s labor dynasties received thanks, gifts, and flowers.
