Tour of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI) for Students of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications
On April 16, 2026, as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) hosted a tour for first-year students of the Belarusian State Academy of Telecommunications.
V.V.Birulya, Head of the Department of Information, Publication, and Use of Documents at BSAMLI, spoke to the students about the history of the archive-museum and the institution’s main activities. Guests learned about the specifics of working with archival documents, their processing, and storage methods. Particular attention was paid to documents reflecting the history of Belarusian literature and art.
Leading archivist T.A.Anpilogova introduced the tour participants to the life and work of the talented artist and Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus, Boris Arakcheyev. His paintings, dedicated to the Caucasus, are on display at the «Mountain Roads. Caucasus» exhibition in the BSAMLI reading room.
The «Archives for School» campaign is an important activity of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum (BSAMLI), aimed at raising young people’s interest in the history and culture of their native country.
