On the holding of an information hour by the staff of the Zonal State Archives in Orsha, titled «The Sacred Memory of Bygone Days. The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War»

On April 16, 2026, as part of the «Archives for Schools» campaign, and for the purposes of ideological education and the development of understanding of the events of the Great Patriotic War in older children, A.N.Boreiko, 1st category archivist at the Zonal State Archives in Orsha, held a thematic information hour for students in grades 5-8 at the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.21 in Orsha», titled «The Sacred Memory of Bygone Days. The Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War».

During this event, the students were introduced to archival documents and photographs documenting the genocidal policies of the Nazi invaders against the civilian population of Orsha and the Orsha district during the Great Patriotic War.

The event culminated in a screening of the documentary film «History of the Great Victory», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
