About Animal War Heroes and Participants in the Battle of Stalingrad: The State Archives of the Vitebsk Region continues its educational campaign as part of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project

On April 7, 2026, a lesson was held at the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.42 of Vitebsk named after D.F.Raitsev» as part of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project. A lesson was held on animals that participated in the Battle of Stalingrad and Volgograd monuments that preserve the memory of the city’s defenders.

The children were shown a video about the monuments to the defenders of Stalingrad.

The students consolidated their knowledge through the quest «What Do I Know About Animal War Heroes?»

The winners were awarded books published by the archive.

 

1. Deputy Director Tatyana Vladimirovna Buevich, as part of the «Volgograd-Vitebsk: Memory of Generations» project, teaches a lesson dedicated to animals that participated in the Battle of Stalingrad and Volgograd monuments that preserve the memory of the city’s defenders at Vitebsk Secondary School No.42 named after D.F. Raitsev for 9th-grade students.
2. The quest «What Do I Know About Animal War Heroes?» is underway at Vitebsk Secondary School No.42 named after D.F. Raitsev.
3. The winners of the quest «What Do I Know About Animal War Heroes?» at Vitebsk Secondary School No.42 named after D.F. Raitsev received prizes.
