Students from the Vitebsk State University Lyceum named after P.M.Masherov visited the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region

On April 1, 2026, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project, prospective students learned about the history of archival work in Belarus, the main objectives and activities of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region, learned about document storage conditions, the work of restorers, and gained an understanding of archival research in the archive’s reading room. During the event, a documentary film about the liberation of the Vitebsk region from Nazi invaders, produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was shown. The students also took a tour of the archive.
