The youth group of the Minsk Region State Archives took part in the «Come and Bow» memorial event

On March 22, the Khatyn State Memorial Complex hosted celebrations commemorating the 83rd anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy. The «Come and Bow» memorial event brought together government officials, labor collectives, and youth organizations to honor the memory of the victims of fascism, as well as residents of other villages who suffered the same fate as Khatyn.

Khatyn is a Belarusian village that has become a symbol of the tragedy of peoples during the Great Patriotic War. On March 22, 1943, punitive forces burned the village to the ground, taking the lives of 149 people, including 75 children.

A unique memorial has been erected on the site of Khatyn, including a «Village Cemetery»—a place where stone slabs commemorate the burned villages—and a sculpture of the «Unconquered Man», symbolizing the fortitude of a survivor.

The youth activists of the primary organization of the Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM) of the Minsk Region State Archives took part in the «Come and Worship» campaign.
