The State Archives of the Minsk Region participated in an event marking Constitution Day

On March 11, 2026, Minsk Region Governor Alexei Kushnarenko visited Slutsk Gymnasium No.1. As part of the «We Are Citizens of Belarus» campaign, the governor presented passports to 25 schoolchildren.

Passports were awarded to the best young people (activists, prize winners, and winners of district, regional, and national competitions and olympiads).

The event took place at Slutsk Gymnasium No.1, the oldest educational institution in Belarus, founded in the early 17th century. Students were given a tour of the institution.

The State Archives of the Minsk Region presented a traveling banner exhibition, «MINSK REGION – THE HEART OF GREAT BELARUS», at the event. This exhibition, through documents and facts, reflects nearly a century of the Minsk region’s history: from the formation of the region itself in 1938 and the changing of its borders to its post-war reconstruction and the construction of important industrial facilities.
