On March 10, 2026, the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) presented the literary and documentary exhibition «Kondrat Krapiva’s Documents in the BGAMLI Collections: On the 130th Anniversary of the People’s Writer» at the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.
Vera Valentinovna Birulya, the exhibition curator and head of the Information, Publication, and Use of Documents Department, introduced the exhibit to those present. She emphasized that, despite the absence of Kondrat Krapiva’s personal collection, the archives and museum hold over 500 documents related to the people’s writer in other collections of famous writers, literary scholars, theater figures, and artists. The most important of these were selected for the exhibition. The exhibition, housed in five thematic display cases, covers biographical information about the writer, his work during the Great Patriotic War, his family life, his dramaturgical career, and his social and friendship relationships. Photo portraits and humorous cartoons complement the exhibition, offering a glimpse into Kondrat Krapiva’s many facets.
The documents on display sparked genuine interest among those present. The literary and documentary exhibition «Kondrat Krapiva’s Documents in the BGAMLI Collections: On the 130th Anniversary of a People’s Writer» is a wonderful opportunity for lovers of Belarusian literature to connect with living history and pay tribute to and respect a man whose creative legacy continues to inspire new generations.
