Lessons of Courage were held at the Zonal State Archives in Glubokoye

On February 23 and 25, 2026, Lessons of Courage were held at the Zonal State Archives in Glubokoye for participants in the Young Archivist project and students from 5th grade (B) of the Glubokoye District Gymnasium.

Invited to the lessons were Anton Zhdanovich, Chairman of the Glubokoye District Association of Afghan War Veterans, and Zhanna Yurkevich, Librarian of the Glubokoye Central Library, who explained to the students why Internationalist Warrior Remembrance Day is an annual celebration of deep respect and sincere gratitude to soldiers who honorably and dignifiedly fulfilled their duty outside their homeland.

Tatyana Avlasova, Head of the Document Use and Publication Department, and Alina Yurgel, Lead Archivist, introduced the children to the history of Defender of the Fatherland Day and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, and also showed them documents detailing the celebration of this holiday in 1919.
