The Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (BSAMLI) and the National Art Museum celebrated Vladimir Korotkevich’s 95th birthday

On November 27, 2025, E.A.Makarenko, Director of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art, attended a gala event dedicated to the 95th anniversary of Vladimir Korotkevich’s birth. The event was organized by the archives and museum’s partners, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus and the scientific and methodological journal «Rodnae Slova».

As part of the celebratory event, the National Art Museum hosted a presentation of the October issue of the «Rodnae Slova» almanac, as well as a lecture by the museum’s leading researcher, Anastasia Trofimchik, based on the journal article «Vladimir Korotkevich in Works from the Collection of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus».

A special highlight of the event was a thematic musical program, «Under White Wings», prepared by faculty and students of the Belarusian State Academy of Music.

Thanks to the combined efforts of archival institutions and museums, research materials about V.S. Korotkevich are not only being preserved but are also being given new life through exhibitions, lectures, and art programs.
