The Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive participated in the opening of the joint exhibition «Attention! Minsk Speaking!»
On November 15, 2025, employees of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive participated in the opening of the temporary exhibition «Attention! Minsk Speaking!», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Belarusian radio, organized jointly with the National History Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
Welcoming remarks at the exhibition opening ceremony were given by Alexander Khramoy, Director of the National History Museum of the Republic of Belarus; Alexey Belyayev, Dean of the Faculty of Journalism at Belarusian State University; Anton Vasyukevich, General Producer of the General Production Center of Belarusian Radio; and Margarita Starostenko, Head of the Document and Information Utilization Department of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. Mikhail Garelik, Deputy Head of the Utilization Department, spoke on behalf of the Belarusian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive.
The exhibition project covers key moments in the history of Belarusian radio, from the first experiments with broadcasting in the early 20th century to modern digital technologies. Photographic and film documentation illustrating the development of Belarusian radio from the 1930s to the 1980s were provided for the exhibition.
The exhibition «Attention! Minsk Speaking!» is located at the National History Museum of the Republic of Belarus and will run from November 15, 2025, to March 31, 2026.
