Information on the publication of the collection of documents «Educational Institutions of Minsk. Photographic Materials from the Second Half of the 19th – Early 20th Centuries»

The National Historical Archives of Belarus has published a collection of documents entitled «Educational Institutions of Minsk. Photographic Materials from the Second Half of the 19th – Early 20th Centuries».

This book is the third in a series of collections featuring photographic materials held by the National Historical Archives of Belarus. The first two volumes of this series are devoted to photographic documents from the collections of boys’ and girls’ gymnasiums in Minsk. This new volume features 142 photographs of students and other individuals who, at various times and for various reasons, found themselves in educational institutions (institutions) of the Minsk province: public schools of the Minsk province, the Minsk private boys’ gymnasium of S. P. Zubakin and K. O. Falkovich, the Minsk real school, the Minsk teachers’ institute, the 1st Minsk city four-grade school (since 1913, the 1st Minsk men’s higher primary school), and the 3rd Minsk city four-grade school (since 1913, the 3rd Minsk men’s higher primary school).

It is intended for a wide range of readers – professional researchers, genealogists, photography enthusiasts, and anyone interested in the history of Belarus in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
