On September 18, 2025, Oleg Leonidovich Voinov, Director of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus, spoke at the Kazan Digital Week international forum

As part of the «Digital Technologies in Public Administration» section, Oleg Leonidovich Voinov presented a report entitled «Application of Artificial Intelligence in Preserving Historical Truth: The Experience of the Republic of Belarus».

The presentation highlighted the results of projects using digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the archival industry and included a presentation on modern approaches to preserving documentary heritage.

Special attention was paid to the creation of short documentaries prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents. Since 2024, these short documentaries have been screened in Belarus, where over 1,600 screenings have been held. In 2025, similar events were held for the first time in the Russian Federation—in eight cities, including the Artek International Children’s Center.

In addition, a video created by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus using artificial intelligence technologies was shown during the forum as an example of archivists’ practical work in the field of digitalization and visualization of historical sources.
