On the Participation of a Staff Member of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Genealogy and Family History of Belarus»

Yesterday, the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Genealogy and Family History of Belarus: Theoretical and Practical Issues of Acquisition, Study, and Use of Personal Archives» was held in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Reading Room of the Yakub Kolas Central Scientific Library of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Alexander Petukhov, Lead Archivist in the Department of Scientific Use of Documents and Information at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region, participated in the conference.

During the session «Personal Archives: Formation and Potential», he presented a paper entitled «Personal Archives of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region: Acquisition and Use Experience».

The conference featured a fruitful and engaging exchange of views on the preservation, research, study, and publication of the documentary heritage of personal archives of both prominent individuals and private family archives.
