In the name of a strong and sovereign Belarus: a ceremonial meeting dedicated to National Unity Day was held at the Central Laboratory
On September 17, 2025, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to National Unity Day was held at the Central Laboratory for Document Preservation of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus.
Deputy Director of the Laboratory, S.I.Mezga, congratulated the staff on one of the most significant national holidays. In his speech, he wished his colleagues unity in their quest to develop a strong, sovereign, and prosperous Belarus and emphasized the importance of carefully preserving love and respect for their native land in their hearts.
The event touched on the historical basis of the holiday. Those gathered were reminded that in 1921, following the Soviet-Polish War, the Belarusian land was divided by the state border, dividing the people for 18 years. Reunification in 1939 allowed Belarusians to once again become a united nation and build a common future. As part of the Unified Information Day, during a presentation on «National Unity Day: The Importance of Peace and Harmony», meeting participants discussed the fundamental socioeconomic transformations that have occurred since the reunification of Western Belarus with the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic, as well as the achievements of a united and independent Belarus today.
At the end of the event, the special importance of National Unity Day as a symbol of national cohesion was noted. This holiday contributes to strengthening national identity, uniting people around the idea of preserving and developing Belarusian statehood.
