Participation of BGAMLI in the Day of Belarusian Literature
On September 6 and 7, 2025, the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) took an active part in the events dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Literature, which was hosted by Lida this year.
Head of the Department of Information, Publication and Use of Documents of BGAMLI V.V.Birulya and leading archivist N.A.Mizon presented to the guests and participants of the holiday a banner exhibition «People’s Writers of Belarus», prepared on the basis of the archive-museum funds.
A large-scale exposition of new Belarusian book printing was unfolded at the site representing Minsk, poems and songs were performed by contemporary Belarusian writers and poets. Natalia Aleksandrovna Mizon made a report on the importance of archival documents in preserving the spiritual and cultural heritage of Belarus, emphasizing their invaluable role in the study and popularization of Belarusian literature. Visitors to the festival were very interested in the archival materials presented at the exhibition, reflecting the life and work of the classics of Belarusian literature. The unique documents evoked a lively response and allowed them to touch the history of Belarusian writing.
Participation of BGAML in the Day of Belarusian Writing became an important event that contributed to the popularization of Belarusian literature and archival work. This holiday, being a symbol of strengthening spiritual values, teaches us to remember our origins, sincerely love our land and respect our ancestors.
