On the lesson «Let’s Bow to Those Great Years» at the institution «Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin», dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus

On July 2, 2025, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, an information lesson «Let’s Bow to Those Great Years» was held at the institution «Zonal State Archives in Zhlobin», dedicated to the main holiday of statehood – the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus. The event was organized for highly motivated schoolchildren from different schools of the city of the summer health camp «Erudite», organized on the basis of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.1 of Zhlobin».

This holiday, celebrated on July 3, is filled with pride and historical significance. Archivist Irina Eliseeva told the schoolchildren that this day is not only an important state event, but also an inspiring opportunity to touch the rich heritage of their country. The archive employee emphasized the role of archives in preserving historical evidence and shared interesting facts about the events associated with the independence of Belarus. Her speech aroused keen interest among the young listeners, inspired them to further study the history of their country and strengthened their sense of pride in their native land.

At the end of the meeting, the film «History of the Great Victory» was shown to the schoolchildren, revealing the heroic pages of our history and the significance of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. A sightseeing tour of the state archive was also held, which allowed the children to get to know its work and interesting documents better.
