Conducting classes within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist» in the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region»

On July 2, 2025, within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist», the institution «State Archives of the Grodno Region» held 2 classes for 2nd-year students of the Faculty of History, Communication and Tourism of the Yanka Kupala State University of Grodno.

During the classes, the archive staff acquainted the students with the composition and content of the archive documents, the features of working with the scientific reference apparatus when searching for information of interest, and also demonstrated exhibitions of documents exhibited in the reading room. The students were presented with collections of documents and materials, Internet projects prepared with the participation of the archive.

The students visited the archive storage, where they were able to learn about the conditions for storing documents, as well as a laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents.
