Participation of an employee of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region in the Single Information Day in the Department of Compulsory Enforcement of the Main Justice Department of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee

On April 17, 2025, the Department of Compulsory Enforcement of the Main Justice Department of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee held a single information day on the topic «The feat of the people will live for centuries. On the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War».

During the event, a speech was given by the leading archivist of the State Archives of the Mogilev Region, Alexey Shvyryov, and a screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the support of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The film is based on newsreel and documentary materials reflecting the heroic feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The film shows the main stages of the war from the attack of Nazi Germany on the Soviet Union to the defeat of Hitler’s troops in Berlin.

The demonstration of the documentary film created by Belarusian archivists helps to preserve the historical memory of the Great Patriotic War and perpetuate the events of those years.
