As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, employees of the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» visited the monument in honor of the breakthrough of the defense by units of the 49th Army in the village of Budino, Chausy District.

By the end of 1943, the 139th Division liberated a number of villages on the way to the river. Pronya and took up defensive positions near the village of Sheperevo. This bridgehead was planned to be used for the offensive on Chausy as part of Operation Bagration.
