Visit to the National Historical Archives of Belarus by employees of the Belarusian Society of Tour Guides and Guides-Interpreters
April 2 and 9, 2025 the National Historical Archives of Belarus was visited by employees of the Belarusian Society of Tour Guides and Guides-Interpreters.
Tourism has been actively developing in recent years as one of the most promising sectors of the economy of the Republic of Belarus. In these conditions, updating information for professionals in the field of culture, education and tourism is becoming increasingly important.
The guests got acquainted with the history and funds of the archive, as well as the specifics of its activities and main areas of work. Deputy Director of the NIA of Belarus Sergei Ryndin gave the guests a tour of the archive and showed particularly valuable documents stored in the archive.
Head of the Research, Publication and Exhibition Activities Sector of the Document Use, Information and Publishing Activities Department Oksana Zenko gave a lecture on the topic «NIAB Documents as a Source on the History of Excursion and Tourism Activities».
An exhibition of book publications of the Central State Historical Archive of the BSSR and the National Historical Archives of Belarus was prepared as part of the event.
The guests showed great interest in the documentary heritage of Belarus and asked numerous questions.
