«Archives for School»: an excursion for students of the educational institution «Mogilev State College of Arts»

As part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the pilot project «Young Archivist», the cooperation of the institution «State Archives of the Mogilev Region» with the educational institution «Mogilev State College of Arts» continues. On March 19, 2025, students visited the new building of the archive on an excursion.

The children visited the archive storage, visited the laboratory for digitizing archival documents, and the reading room.

In the assembly hall, an exhibition of the most interesting and significant documents from the archival funds was prepared for students. Among them are the personal files of teachers and students of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy, the filtration and verification files of citizens driven away for forced labor in Germany during the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the event, a screening of the documentary film «Operation Bagration» was held, prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents» (Dzerzhinsk).

During the excursion, students were able to ask all their questions and receive comprehensive answers from the archive staff.
