Memory lesson «Ozarichi – unhealing pain and memory» in the state archive of public associations of the Gomel region

On March 19, 2025, as part of the republican campaign «Archives to School», employees of the institution «State Archives of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» held a memory lesson «Ozarichi – unhealing pain and memory» for students of the educational institution «Gomel State College of Culinary Arts».

As part of the event, the students were shown a documentary film «10 Days of Hell» about the Ozarichi camp with the memories of prisoners about those terrible days, with documentary evidence from historians and museum workers.

Under the guidance of archivists of the information, publication and use of documents sector, the children studied archival documents testifying to the cruel trials that befell the civilians of the Belarusian Polesie in March 1944.

The event ended with a presentation of the exhibition of archival documents «And tomorrow was Victory…», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War and a sightseeing tour of the archive.
