Single Information Day at the Central Laboratory: The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus as the Basis of Unity and Development

On March 19, 2025, the State Institution «Central Laboratory for Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus» held a Single Information Day on the topic «The Constitution of the Republic of Belarus – the legal foundation of the unity and prosperity of the Belarusian people». The event became an important step in strengthening the legal culture and civic awareness of the laboratory staff.

As part of the event, a meeting of the work collective with the deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus of the VIII convocation, member of the Standing Commission on Human Rights, National Relations and Mass Media, Director General of the National Library of Belarus V.F.Gigin was held.

Vadim Frantsevich spoke in detail about the evolution of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, noting the key stages of its development and changes. During his speech, he conducted a comparative analysis of the Basic Law of Belarus with the constitutions of other countries, highlighting both common features and fundamental differences. Particular attention was paid to the fact that the current Constitution of the Republic of Belarus is not only a legal document, but also a symbol of the unity of the people, adopted at a national referendum. It reflects the dynamism of the country’s development, the continuity of historical traditions and national values of the Belarusian statehood.

After the informative lecture, the participants of the event were able to ask questions of interest, to which V.F. Gigin gave detailed answers. At the end of the meeting, accompanied by the director of the laboratory V.L.Klyuiko, the guest took a tour of the laboratory. He got acquainted with modern technological processes, including microbiological research, restoration, binding, microfilming and digitization of archival documents, highly appreciating the level of professionalism and technical equipment of the institution.

The Unified Information Day that was held became an important event for the laboratory team, contributing to strengthening knowledge about the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus and its role in the life of every citizen.
