A dialogue platform dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus was held at the Vitebsk State Academy of Veterinary Medicine

The event was attended by the head of the IPS and automated archival technologies department Elena Bondareva. In her speech on the topic «Symbols of the past – the pride of the present» she noted that according to Article 19 of the Constitution, the symbols of the Republic of Belarus as a sovereign state are its State Flag, State Emblem and State Anthem.

The students learned many interesting facts about state symbols. For example, the reference image of the State Emblem and Flag of the Republic of Belarus are stored in the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, and the reference recording of the State Anthem is in the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and the history of the creation of each of them is somehow connected with the Vitebsk region.
