A practical lesson for the participants of the Young Archivist project was held at the State Archives in Glubokoe

On February 15, 2025, a practical lesson on compiling a family tree was held at the State Archives in Glubokoe for the participants of the Young Archivist project.

As homework, the students were asked to prepare information about the places of residence of relatives, information about which they would like to receive.

The head of the department for the use and publication of documents, Tatyana Avlasova, showed the children how to use the geographical index for household books to select the files they needed for work. Then the students independently searched for files in the archive.

And finally, the most exciting moment of the lesson came, when the children touched the history of their ancestors. With great interest, they leafed through the pages of household books in search of familiar surnames and first names. After the lesson, the leading archivist of the NTO group, Alina Yurgel, introduced the children to the information stand, designed for the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers.
