Molodechno archivists took part in a rally in memory of internationalist soldiers
On February 15, on the 36th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan, a rally dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers was held in MolodechNo. City residents gathered at the memorial sign to honor the memory of those who performed their international duty far from their homeland.
The event was attended by Afghan veterans, representatives of the district executive committee, deputies, employees of law enforcement agencies, labor collectives, public associations, schoolchildren and the clergy. They all came to pay tribute to the heroes whose lives will forever remain connected with the events of those years. Molodechno archivists also took part in the event.
The rally began with a minute of silence, during which those gathered honored the memory of the fallen soldiers. Then flowers were laid at the memorial.
The speakers spoke about the courage and dedication of internationalist soldiers, about the importance of remembering the lessons of history and passing on this knowledge to the younger generation.
This day became a reminder that the memory of the heroes who gave their lives in the name of peace and justice should live in the hearts of descendants.
