About the presentation of the book «Forgotten Banner» in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

On February 11, 2025, the presentation of the book «Forgotten Banner» was held in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region». The authors of the book are father and son Petr Ivanovich and Dmitry Petrovich Kuralenko.

The publication describes the military path of their father and grandfather Ivan Erofeevich Kuralenko, a participant in the Great Patriotic War. It traces the fates of other fellow countrymen, natives of the village of Rzhavki in the Slavgorod district, what they had to go through in the first days and months of the war: about heavy fighting in Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, participation in the defense of Tallinn, about the difficult exit from encirclement, the way to their village, a concentration camp, life under occupation, forced labor in Germany, the long-awaited return home.
