Conducting lessons on the topic «State Archives of the Grodno Region: History and Modernity» for 8th-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.6 named after F.E.Dzerzhinsky of Grodno» as part of the «Archives to School» campaign at the «State Archives of the Grodno Region» institution

On February 11, 2025, as part of the «Archives to School» campaign, the «State Archives of the Grodno Region» institution conducted 2 lessons on the topic «State Archives of the Grodno Region: History and Modernity» for 8th-grade students of the State Educational Institution «Gymnasium No.6 named after F.E.Dzerzhinsky of Grodno».

Archive employees told schoolchildren about the history of the archive, the main areas of its activities, as well as the importance of the archivist profession. The most interesting and valuable documents stored in the archive, as well as collections of documents and materials prepared with the participation of the State Archives of the Grodno Region, were presented to the students. During the lessons, the children got acquainted with the exhibitions of documents exhibited in the reading room.

A sightseeing tour of the archive was held for the children, during which they visited the archive storage and the laboratory for restoration, binding and repair of documents.
