New issue of the «Archive Bulletin»: the heroic past and creative present of the internationalist soldier from Molodechno Igor Arabey in documents and photographs

The Zonal State Archive in Molodechno, on the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Internationalist Soldiers, presents a new issue of the media project «Archive Bulletin». It is dedicated to the personality of Igor Arabey, the chairman of the Molodechno district organization of the Belarusian Union of Veterans of the War in Afghanistan. This issue became an important step in preserving historical memory and gratitude for the feat of a man whose life became an example of courage and dedication to his chosen cause.

Young archivists from Secondary School No.14 in Molodechno, within the framework of the Cooperation Agreement between the educational institution and the archive, took an active part in the formation of Igor Ignatievich’s personal fund. During the work on the project, schoolchildren were able to get acquainted with documents reflecting the hero’s officer path, his military merits, injuries, as well as many years of public activity. These materials, transferred to the archive for permanent storage, will become a valuable source for future generations.

The participation of schoolchildren in the formation of the fund is of great importance for preserving historical memory and fostering patriotism.
