Thematic lesson within the framework of the pilot project «Young Archivist» in the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha»

On January 23, 2025 within the framework of the project «Young Archivist» with students of grade 8 «A» of the state educational institution «Secondary School No.8 of Orsha» the leading archivist of the department of use of documents of the State Archive in Orsha Gryadovka Yulia Ivanovna held a thematic lesson on the topic: «The profession of an archivist».

During this event, the children got acquainted with such a profession as «archivist», with the history of the emergence of the archival service in the Orsha district, with the existing network of archival institutions in the Republic of Belarus, learned about the main areas of the archive’s activities and the composition of the stored funds, the specifics of working with archival documents, and a tour of the stand exhibitions that are exhibited in the archive was also conducted for the students.
