Round table «Archive and film document: acquisition, study, representation (for the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema)» in the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents

On December 13, 2024, the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents» (hereinafter referred to as BGAKFFD) held a round table «Archive and film document: acquisition, study, representation (for the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema)», dedicated to current issues of acquisition of archive funds, improvement of scientific and reference apparatus for film documents, development of modern forms of public representation of screen heritage.

The opening remarks were made by the Director of BGAKFFD Andrei Nikolaevich Gonchar, Deputy Director for Scientific and Innovative Work of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Historical Sciences Sergei Petrovich Vityaz, Doctor of Art History, Professor Valery Ivanovich Fomin (Russian Federation, Moscow).

The round table discussed issues related to the formation of the National Archival Fund, problems of improving the scientific reference apparatus, as well as the use and popularization of archival documents.
