Virtual exhibition «From the Hell of Five Years to the Film about Barbie»

The Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art presents a virtual exhibition «From the Hell of Five Years to the Film about Barbie», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the children’s magazine «Byarozka», which has been published since 1924.

100 years is not just a significant period of time. It is an entire era in the lives of several generations of compilers, artists, editors and, finally, readers. From articles about the struggle of the Soviet industry to exceed five-year plans to descriptions of modern trends in world fashion. The virtual exhibition demonstrates how the content and role of the children’s press in the life of our society changed during the outlined historical period.
