Exhibition «The Magnificent Century» at the Film Festival «Listapad»
On November 1, 2024, in the Palace of the Republic, as part of the opening of the XXX Minsk International Film Festival «Listapad», the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus together with the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus prepared the exhibition «The Magnificent Century». The exhibition project is based on unique archival materials showing the origins of Belarusian «cinematography» in the 20-30s of the 20th century, museum items from the collections of the National Historical Museum of the Republic of Belarus, props and costumes for the most significant Belarusian films.
The exhibition reflects not only the history of the film festival, but also the genre diversity of Belarusian cinema. It is symbolic that the exhibition is presented in the landmark year of the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema.
