New arrival of documents from the personal archive of Nikolai Ilyich Aladov in BGAMLI


On October 8, 2024, the head of the department of archives of organizations and the formation of the NAF of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art Maria Iosifovna Pyshinskaya and the leading archivist Natalya Pavlovna Prinko after negotiations visited Aladova Radoslava Nikolaevna, the daughter of the famous campasitore, teacher, people’s artist of the BSSR Nikolai Ilyich Aladov.

N.I.Aladov is one of the organizers of the Belarusian Conservatory (now the Belarusian State Academy of Music), from 1944 to 1948 – rector of the Belarusian Conservatory, since 1946 – professor. Children’s music school No.2 in Minsk is named after N.I. Aladov, a memorial plaque was installed. Nikolai Ilyich is one of the founders of the symphonic, chamber-instrumental and chamber-vocal, cantata, choral genres of Belarusian music. The author of the opera «Andrei Kostenya», the comic opera «Taras on Parnassus», the cantatas «Over the River Oressa» and others, ten symphonies, vocal cycles to the poems of Yanka Kupala, M.Bogdanovich, M.Tank, and other musical works. The documents of her father were handed over by his daughter Radoslava Nikolaevna Aladova, a musicologist and music critic. The archive-museum received creative documents of N.I. Aladov: musical manuscripts of Symphony No.2 on the themes of Belarusian folk songs (1929-1930), «Suite-Fantasy» No.2, 3, «Concert Fantasy», Symphony No.5, Symphony No.6, 8, 9, cantata «Sorak God», score «Narod і Pravadyr» and others.

The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The work on replenishing the archive-museum with documents from the personal archive of N.I.Aladov will continue: we will be expecting the next arrival in the near future.
