On holding an event dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People

On June 21, 2024, a joint meeting of workers of the Belarusian Scientific Research Institute of Documentation and Archiving and the National Historical Archive of Belarus was held, dedicated to the Day of National Remembrance of the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the genocide of the Belarusian people.

In the opening speech of NIAB Director M.M.Glushakov, attention was focused on the need to preserve historical memory for the consolidation of Belarusian society and the role of archives in this work.

The report «Belarus – from liberation to independence» was made by the deputy director of the institute for scientific work, S.S.Mishuk.

During the meeting, employees of BelNIIDAD and NIAB shared their memories of loved ones and relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War.

The closing speech was made by the director of BelNIIDAD A.E.Rybakov, who proposed to honor the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.
