4th documentary exhibition from the series «The Dawn of Liberation is over Belarus»

On June 20, 2024, a solemn event was held at the National Library of Belarus to mark the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.

The program includes the opening of the 4th exhibition from the patriotic and educational cycle «The Dawn of Liberation is over Belarus» and the presentation of the book «Partisans of Belarus».

The exhibition project «The Dawn of Liberation Occupies Belarus» is held jointly with the National Library of Belarus and aims to display the chronicle of the liberation of Belarus. The book, illustrative and documentary material of the last exhibition of the cycle recreates the main stages of the Belarusian offensive operation «Bagration». The archive documents reflect the progress of the Vitebsk-Orsha, Mogilev, Bobruisk, Minsk, Polotsk and other operations that led to the complete liberation of Belarus in the summer of 1944. And about the great contribution to achieving victory over the enemy made by the people’s avengers.

The event was attended by expert historians, archivists, journalists, relatives of partisan heroes, which allowed those present to create a three-dimensional portrait of the war, those «fiery forties» in which our grandparents lived, studied, loved, fought and forged Victory.
