Conducting an excursion to the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

As part of the republican action «Archives to School», on June 18, 2024, the institution «State Archives of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region» was visited by 8th grade students from secondary school No. 4 in Mogilev, who were in a summer health school camp.

During the excursion, leading archivist Svetlana Bryuzgina introduced students to the history of the creation of the archive and the main directions of its activities. She spoke about the archive funds and the specifics of working with them, about the conditions for storing documents, and the equipment of archive storage facilities. The guys also got acquainted with the exhibitions presented: Defense of the city of Mogilev, Partisan movement, 80th anniversary of the liberation of the city of Mogilev, Genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War.

At the end of the excursion, guests got acquainted with the museum exhibition on the history of the party archive.
